Assalam Alaikum Community Members,
After careful evaluation and consideration of CDC rules and local area medical community advice, AIA is relieved to announce that it will now allow children 10 years of age and above into its prayer halls and building, Alhamdulillah.
AIA is CONSTANTLY evaluating the situation and if it continues to improve, AIA will hopefully soon insha Allah be able to remove all age restrictions - AIA will announce that when it deems it safe to do so.
For now, only children 10 years of age and above are welcome to come for prayers along with their parents, or older siblings right away. The rules of attendance are STILL in place -- please make sure to bring a prayer rug , a bag for shoes and wear a mask covering nose and mouth while in the masjid.
Wudu facilities are still not available in the masjid.
Quran classes taught by our imam Hafiz Sharif Asghar will be resuming for children 10 and above, effective June 1st, 2021.
The fee schedule is $300 for 3 months.  For the first month of June, it will be $100. After that first month, we will move back to our quarterly system: $300 before July 1st, October 1st, January 1st, and April 1st.  The payment of the fee and completion of registration will be required before starting this class. Please see the imam for registration or email us back at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with questions or any concerns.
We at AIA appreciate the community's patience and understanding as we navigated through these difficult challenging unprecedented times! Jazakum Allah khairan! May Allah reward you all for your cooperation.
For the sake of the health and safety of our community and our surrounding communities, AIA has had to make decisions that would have been UNBELIEVABLE before the pandemic - closing the masjid completely, canceling Friday, Eid and Taraweeh prayers, limiting attendance to certain age groups, enforcing social distancing even in prayers (instead of our mandated standing shoulder to shoulder), cancelling weekend Islamic school, etc! There were varying opinions both from the medical standpoint AND from the religious. AIA Board and AIA Imam took the situation very seriously, considered all opinions and made painful yet necessary decisions BASED ON RELIGIOUS DISPENSATION, erring on the side of caution.
AIA continues to carefully evaluate and assess conditions for a complete return to normalcy soon insha Allah! We have a little more distance to go before we reach complete normalcy. The dangerous situation was real, it affected MANY in our own community - some seriously. But Alhamdulillah, in light of the improving situation, along with the rest of the country, we are able to inch back towards normalcy Alhamdulillah.
May Allah remove this virus completely from our country and everywhere on earth; may Allah keep the AIA community and everyone around the world safe and healthy; may He cure and heal completely those who were affected by COVID-19. Aameen.
