After sixteen years of hard work and selfless commitment to the AIA Islamic School, Dr. Yakub Patel decided to step down as the School Principal. Under his leadership for all of those years, the school continued to grow and prosper, and to fulfill its mission of imparting Islamic knowledge and practice to the young members of our community.
AIA and community members are indebted to Br Yakub for providing such an exceptional service to the community. Year after year, he maintained such high standards in the school, by giving it his focused energy and attention that such a weighty responsibility deserves. May Allah reward him abundantly for his services and sacrifices for the community and the children of the community!
Stepping up to the plate to carry on the mission of educating our future generations of Muslim youth is another dedicated community member, Dr. Abdul Khalique of Orland Park. Br Abdul Khalique has been heavily involved with the AIA School for over 13 years. He recently took on the responsibility of defining the curriculum for the classes, by reviewing and selecting textbooks for each of the subjects taught in the school.
AIA wishes Br Abdul Khalique the best, as he takes on his new responsibility with the AIA School. Below is a brief look at Br Abdul Khalique’s background.
Khalid Mozaffar will be working with Br Abdul Khalique as the Assistant Principal. Br Yakub Patel will of course continue helping the school with his expertise, knowledge and ideas.
